My name is Shelley Amato. I have been working as a Registered Dietitian in a hospital setting for the last 17 years and am super excited to have my own private practice. My goal is to educate and empower you to make lasting, healthy behavioural changes that are the cornerstones of lifelong well-being. It is my mission to make wellness more achievable and personalized by providing services that are practical and realistic for each individual client.

As a Registered Dietitian, I have always been interested in the impact of nutrition on health and wellness. Many chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes may be up to 80% preventable with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Research has consistently shown the positive impact of nutrition counselling and intervention on many medical conditions and overall individual health.

As my career has progressed, I’ve become even more inspired by the link between food and well-being. This is what spawned my interest in Integrative and Functional Nutrition.
